Flores de Alagoas - Filet-embroidered Handbag

In the style of the filet embroidery from the Alagoas region of Brazil, this project introduces filet embroidery in bright colours and at a larger scale.  Stitched in variegated thread on coloured mesh, the bright embroideries of this region are used on a wide variety of products from fashion clothing, curtains, household linens and more.

This handbag features the bright colours synonymous with Filet Alagoas, but on a finer net for a stunning handbag, or clutch purse. The kit includes everything you need including the purse framework, fastenings and shoulder chain.

The kit is available in three colours: Rose, Night Flowers, & Ecru.  (The ecru kit is supplied without the sage green backing fabric shown in the example, so that you can choose the colour that best suits your wardrobe).
