Italian Embroidery - Cutwork techniques Part II

Italian Embroidery - Cutwork techniques Part II

Following on from last week's post, two further Italian cutwork techniques... First up this week is a technique called Deruta Sfilato originating in Tuscany. The design area outline is secured and then alternating groups of fabric threads are cut and withdrawn to make a frame of loose mesh. Small enough to fit in most pockets, but big enough with all those immediate needs. A great project for a...

Covid-related Shipping Surcharges applied by local post service

Covid-related Shipping Surcharges applied by local post service

Unfortunately our local post service has applied international postal surcharges as airline capacity has been severely limited due to COVID-19 and these surcharges remain in place until airline capacity returns.  The changes to shipping rates currently impacts products destined for UK & Europe, particularly kits being heavier.  As I recognise that for most the shipping costs will be prohibitive. For this inconvenience, you have my sympathies, and I hope to see you return as a customer after the effects of COVID-19 have passed....
