Making the most of opportunities I have been using the recent downtime to get sorted on a number of projects. Unfortunately these two projects were casualties of the current lockdown cancelling planned classes, so they have now become available for general release.
The Card Purse is a simple yet elegant design featuring pattern darning and a kiss-lock frame. The gusseted inner purse has two card pockets, suitable for identification, credit or business cards, and a cash pocket for notes and coins. Small enough to fit in most pockets, but big enough with all those immediate needs. A great project for a wet weekend.
The Hishi-zashi Hussif / Clutch Purse is another project featuring pattern darning and constructed on a hard-cased metal-framed purse. The inner can either be fashioned as a hussif to carry your essential needlecraft supplies or as a clutch purse with optional shoulder chain, for a stylish accessory.
The hussif has space to store threads, a foldaway needlecase, reinforced scissor case, and pockets for other essentials such as pen / notebook, tapes and tools.
The clutch purse has two inner pockets to hold items such as credit, business or identity cards and plenty of space for those essentials for your night out.
Check out further details on both these projects in the Pattern Darning Collection.
